There is a square 20x30 inch, blue pillow in the frame. On the face of the pillow are eight pheasant feathers standing tall, flanking one another. The two tallest feathers are in the middle, flanked by sequentially shorter feathers reaching the edge.
***Each pillow is slightly different because they are individually printed with the sun. The feathers leave a white negative image ranging in exposure of detail surrounded by deep blue. I arrange every feather on EACH textile piece--and develop the image on the fabric with sunlight. My artwork is inspired by the beauty of it's subject: feathers. The feathers come from ethically harvested wild birds; harvested by myself, my husband, or a close friend.
