There is a deep blue, 20x20 inch pillow in the frame. There is an image of five pheasant tail feathers on the pillow case. The image is created using real pheasant tail feathers and an antique photographic process called cyanotype, which utilizes the sun to develop the image on fabric.
***Each pillow is slightly different because they are individually printed with sunlight. Everything the sun touches develops into the deep blue. The feathers leave a white negative image ranging in exposure of detail surrounded by deep blue. I arrange every feather on EACH textile piece. My artwork is inspired by the beauty of it's subject: feathers. The feathers come from ethically harvested wild birds; harvested by myself, my husband, or a close friend.
